Summer is almost over, and that means there are new clothes, trends, and rules. The best way to make the transition is to plan ahead. That doesn't have to mean an entirely new wardrobe. Just a few basic pieces will make putting fall outfits together a whole lot easier! Here are some guidelines for fall shopping.

Okay, the 1890's is officially my favorite fashion era! The dresses were extravagant and the jackets were absolutely gorgeous! The clothing was very feminine. Although the entire 1800's fashion era was amazing, the 1890's is when the dresses become more figure flattering. As the ever fashionable Duchess Kate showed, there are aspects of the 1890's that are back in style. Thanks to Kate, the fitted ,ruffled jacket is especially popular. This is my new favorite jacket! The front is inspired by Kate's jacket, and the back is very 1890's! When switching into a season with such a different style, it is hard to know when to start showing that new look. Today, there was a bit of a summer storm. If the weather is changing , maybe you should too. I dawned my new favorite jacket (see "90's...1890's,that is!") and a pair of boot cut jeans for the fall-side of the look, but kept my summer-side out of the closet with the resort-inspired shoes (complemented by the purse) and the playful sleeveless top. Need help with your fall shopping? No problem! You can use this shopping list as a guideline. I listed some pieces that will be useful for fall with color possibilities as the border. Already have something? Check it off. Remember, this is just a guideline, no need to get everything!
